Sıla Türkoğlu and Serkan Çayoğlu star in the new mini-series “The Knot: Gateway to Anatolia,” which takes viewers on a journey through Türkiye's historical and cultural heritage.

Produced as part of the Go Türkiye Mini-Series project by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), the series follows two art historians competing for an assistant position while blending romance, history and discovery.

Sıla Türkoğlu plays Bahar, an art historian, while Serkan Çayoğlu portrays Toprak Turan, another candidate competing for the position. Veteran actor Levent Özdilek joins the cast as Professor Hikmet Erdemli.

Planning to recruit an assistant for the Art History Department, Professor Hikmet Erdemli puts the candidates through an extraordinary test. He sends candidate Toprak Turan to Konya to locate a hidden cipher.

In Konya, Toprak immerses himself in the city's atmosphere while exploring its local cuisine. Meanwhile, Bahar, the other candidate, searches for a clue among the ancient ruins of Hattusa in Çorum.

The ciphers found by both candidates direct them to the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations in Ankara, where their paths cross and their competition begins.

The story takes the characters through Ankara, Eskişehir, Konya and Çorum, placing the cities' history, art, nature and cuisine at the heart of the narrative.

Produced by Süreç Film, the mini-series is directed by Yunus Ozan Korkut, with a screenplay written by Melih Özyılmaz and Elif Türker.

"The Knot: Gateway to Anatolia" aims to introduce Türkiye's cultural heritage and travel destinations to international audiences through a story that blends romance, history and discovery.
